PERSON OF INTEREST
Given the high tech subject matter of the series, Person of Interest involved the design and maintenance or several complete fictional operating systems, each meant to be an extension of specific characters, and in some cases, act as characters themselves. Meticulous effort and research was spent to keep all interfaces faithful to the real operating systems on which they were modeled, while stretching technological accuracy just enough to make them distinct and service the tone of the series.

THE SUBWAY
Among my core responsibilities on POI was creative oversight of the Subway set. The computer graphics in this set were a major medium for the narrative and plot devices. I inherited an earlier design that had been established in previous seasons and, while keeping the same palette and basic layout, updated the whole system to give a more hi-tech, modern aesthetic.

CONTROL
For the control room of the series' CIA characters, a specific operating system was needed that read as hi-tech government or military. The system was ultimately meant to be a state of the art surveillance network and made heavy use of CCTV footage and network data visualization. This system was designed and built in tandem with another graphics artist.

COMPUTERS & PHONES
Given the high tech subject matter of the series, laptops, phones, and other digital displays, played central roles in the show’s narrative and required their own personalities. These designs were often extensions of their user's character, while others aided in driving the narrative through their unique aesthetics.
